Our Commitment to Corrections

Sacred Places India is committed to maintaining the highest standard of accuracy. When errors are identified—whether by our team or by readers—we correct them promptly and transparently. This corrections policy outlines how we handle errors, updates, and content improvements.

Types of Corrections

• Factual corrections: Errors in dates, names, locations, architectural classifications, dynastic attributions, or other verifiable facts are corrected immediately upon verification.
• Contextual updates: When new archaeological discoveries or scholarly research supersede previously published information, pages are updated to reflect the current understanding.
• Broken links and references: External links are checked periodically and updated or removed if they become inactive.
• Image corrections: Incorrectly attributed or misidentified images are corrected as soon as the error is identified.

Correction Process

1. An error is reported via sacredplaceindiahello@gmail.com or through the contact form.
2. The editorial team verifies the claim against authoritative sources.
3. If confirmed, the correction is applied and the page's "Last Updated" timestamp is refreshed.
4. For significant corrections, the change is noted in the page revision history.

Reporting an Error

To report an error, please email sacredplaceindiahello@gmail.com with:

• The URL of the page containing the error.
• A description of the error and what the correct information should be.
• The source you are using to support the correction (if available).

We acknowledge receipt of all correction reports within 48 hours and aim to resolve verified errors within one week.

Update Frequency

Temple pages and guide content are reviewed on a regular cycle. High-traffic pages and those covering topics where information changes frequently (such as temple timings or festival dates) are prioritized for more frequent review. The "Last Updated" timestamp at the bottom of each page indicates when the content was most recently reviewed.
