Temples & Pilgrimage Quiz
Jyotirlingas, Char Dham, Shakti Peethas, Panch Kedar, Pancha Bhoota and the monumental shrines of India — the concise corpus for GK and General Studies papers.
What this set covers
Sacred geography is the most predictable scoring area in General Studies, and this set treats it as a map rather than a list: the twelve Jyotirlingas and the states that hold them, the four Char Dham shrines and the separate Chota Char Dham circuit, the major Shakti Peetha clusters, and the Panch Kedar and Pancha Bhoota groups. Questions arrive as match-the-following pairs — shrine against state, shrine against river, shrine against the dynasty that built it.
The traps are homonyms and competing orders. Somnath on the Saurashtra coast is not Somnathpur in Karnataka, Rameswaram is a different shrine from Rameshwar in Himachal, and the shloka order of the Jyotirlingas does not match the order travel guides usually list them in. Each explanation states which tradition it follows, so a disputed pairing never reads as a factual error.
Pair this set with our Jyotirlinga, Shakti Peetha and Char Dham guides: the questions quote the same distances, builders and ritual details those pages document with citations, so mistakes here map directly onto a page you can reread.
Practice Session
Choose a difficulty and length. Questions are drawn at random from the 25questions in “Temples & Pilgrimage” and options are shuffled, so every attempt is different.
