Only the northern temple in the group carries an inscription, and it records that Queen Gunavati, wife of Govinda Manikya, built it in Saka 1590. Saka 1590 corresponds to 1668 CE, placing the construction in the reign of Govinda Manikya, who ruled from 1660 to 1676. The queen dedicated the temples to Vishnu in 1668 CE, and the other two shrines of the group carry no surviving inscription.
Tripura Tourism states that the two remaining temples look contemporary with the inscribed one, but their actual history is still to be unveiled. The group stands at Radhakishorepur in Gomti district, on the eastern side of Udaipur, the old Manikya capital.
